HVAC Services in Lake of the Ozarks & Central MO

  • Why is it important to have regular HVAC Maintenance?

It is vital to have your heating and air conditioning unit serviced regularly to avoid any downtime. Maintenance prevents the change of a significant and costly problem with your HVAC unit.  It's best to stay ahead to keep your system running as it should be.

  • What is the average life expectancy of HVAC equipment?

The average HVAC system has a lifespan of 10-15 years. However, the older your equipment gets the less efficient and less power it has. When your system is between 10-12 years old you should start considering a replacement unit.

  • My AC stopped working, what should I do?

The first thing you need to do when you notice a failing air conditioner is shut off the unit via the thermostat. After shutting it off, you should check the air filter to see if it's clear of debris. Clean or change the filter if needed.

Another issue might be a tripped breaker, so check your main electrical panel. The final thing you need to check is the batteries in the thermostat.

  • How often should I change my air filter?

It varies by the type of air filter and how much filtration your home has. When you purchase less expensive, disposable filters you'll need to change them more often (likely ever 30 days). Poly or Pleated filters will need to be replaced every 3 months. There are some filters, called Media Filters or CleanEffects that will, on average, only require replacement every year.

  • What is a heat pump?

A heat pump is a versatile system that has the ability to heat your home in addition to cooling it. You can install a heat pump to work in tandem with a variety of HVAC systems, including dual fuel and full electric systems.

We provide a range of solutions for your heat pump installation, maintenance, and repairs. Contact Wall's HVAC Service for more information about your heat pump.

  • What is a dual fuel system?

The term dual fuel system refers to a system that includes an indoor coil, gas furnace, and a heat pump. Having a dual fuel system means that your heat pump will primarily heat your property. The gas furnace operates as a back up, on average it triggers at 40 degrees.

Dual fuel systems are overall more efficient because it saves energy. Additionally, it won't dry your skin out as much as the conventional system would.
